Infinix wrapped 2024 in style after the launch of the Infinix Zero Flip. It appears the smartphone maker intends to start the new year in similar fashion, by unveiling its latest iteration in the Note series. Fresh details about the upcoming Infinix Note 50 have emerged through FCC certification listings, giving us our first substantial peek at what could be one of the brand’s most interesting releases in early 2025.
The FCC certification reveals that the Note 50 will arrive in popping green and pink colorways, a palette that has become a mainstay of the brand. The standout feature appears to be a distinctive octagonal camera module that houses four sensors and an LED flash, an upgrade from its predecessor’s dual-camera setup.
As we would expect, the Note 50 won’t be cutting any corners when it comes to connectivity. The device is set to support a full spectrum of network options, including 2G, 3G, and 4G LTE, alongside dual-band Wi-Fi capabilities operating at both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. For those concerned about charging speeds, the Note 50 will maintain the 45W fast charging support seen in its predecessor.
Thankfully, the Note 50 isn’t coming alone. Sources indicate that Infinix is preparing to launch a complete series, including the Note 50X, Note 50 Pro, and a 5G-capable Note 50 Pro+ model. Each variant has been assigned its own model number (X6858, X6857, X6855, and X6856, respectively), suggesting distinct features and capabilities across the lineup.
The FCC listing also provides precise dimensions for the device: 163.2 x 74.4 x 9 mm. If true, it will be a comfortable form factor that should strike a balance between screen real estate and handling comfort.
While official pricing hasn’t been announced, industry analysts have implied that the Note 50 could be positioned slightly higher than its predecessor, with estimates pointing to a price tag of approximately $173.
Given that the Infinix Note 40 made its global debut in March 2024, we might not have to wait too long for its successor. The appearance of FCC certification typically signals an imminent launch, indicating the Note 50 series could arrive in early 2025. As more details emerge in the coming weeks, we’ll get a clearer picture of how Infinix plans to position this device in the increasingly competitive mid-range smartphone market.
