Samsung has launched an exclusive edition of the recently launched Galaxy Z Flip6 as part of its ongoing major partnership with the 2024 Paris Olympics. As part of the promotion, the smartphone will also be gifted to all athletes competing in Paris this summer.
The special edition Galaxy Z Flip6 comes with a special design highlighted by the Olympics Rings and Paralympics Agitos logos and an associated Olympic case.
Each phone comes with an eSIM on the Orange network with 100GB of 5GB data, so the athletes are connected immediately after settling in. The devices also come pre-loaded with the IOC’s Athlete 365 App, Olympic Shop and Paris 2024.
The Samsung Wallet app will also be pre-installed with an in-app pass that allows athletes to get free drinks at vending machines around the Olympic Village.
The phones are also AI-enabled, following the launch of Samsung’s first on-device AI experience earlier this year with Galaxy AI.
“Samsung has pushed the boundaries of mobile technology in support of the Olympic and Paralympic Games and its athletes for nearly three decades,” said Anthony Hutia, Head of Mobile Experience, Samsung Electronics East Africa.
“We are honoured to deliver our newest Galaxy innovation to the inspiring athletes of Paris 2024 – and give them the opportunity to experience the powerful and intelligent Galaxy Z Flip6. We are excited to see how our technology opens up athletes’ Games-time experience like never before — from creating meaningful connections to sharing and capturing lifelong memories while in Paris and beyond.”
This comes as part of Samsung’s commitment as the Games Partner of the 2024 Olympics and Paralympics in a deal valued at $26million.
