Nokia announced Nokia 603 at an event in Istanbul earlier today. The most recent Symbian Belle production, Nokia 603 is a colourful device with two phone colours (black and white) and six cover colours(Black, White, Fuchsia, Green, Yellow and Blue). The phone features single tap pairing via NFC.
Nokia 603 is priced at 200 Euros and comes with a 3.5 inch clear black, scratch resistant display, said to be optimized for use in sunlight. This has nHD resolution (640 x 360 pixels) and 16 million colours. It comes preloaded with maps, social networking games and a graphics processor for great graphics performance. Processor is 1GHz, measures 113.5 x 57.1 x 12.7mm and weighs 106.9g.Other features include Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi and HSDPA 3G – offering downloads up to 14.4Mbps. Target for this device is first time smartphone users, price and specs say it all.
The Nokia 603 is designed to appeal to first time smartphone users and those upgrading from older products, particularly existing users of Nokia smartphones who will welcome a device that offers all the latest technology and features in a package that is still uniquely Nokia.
Will be shipping in the fourth quarter of 2011.
