Huawei Announces Ascend D Quad, world’s fastest smartphone

Ascend D Quad-4Mobile World Congress has been filled with Mobile phone companies outdoing each other, from camera, to projector to tablet with stylus and now a quad core processor powered smartphone. Huawei Ascend D Quad is one such smartphone which prides iteself to being the fastest smartphone alive. Well, not alive, lol.

The device launched on an option of 1.2 and 1.5GHz quad core processor for the D Quad and the D Quad XL respectively. And beyond that, the processor is in-house, a K3V2 processor built by Huawei. The smartphone is a little larger than what you have been used to and comes on a 4.5 inch screen (1280×720). It also has a 32 bit true colour graphic processor, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 5.1 surround sound Dolby Mobile 3.0 Plus, DdUal Microphone noise reduction with Audience earSmart technology, 8 megapixel Autofocus camera, 1.3mp front, Dual Flash LED and HDR. The Ascend D Quad has a 1800mAH battery while the XL has a 2500mAH. It has wi-fi 802.11/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, HSPA+ of 21Mbps, 8GB internal storage and a 1GB RAM.

Availability will be in Q 2 in China, Australia, Europe, Asia PAcific, North and South America and Middle East.
