Earlier on today, HP East Africa held a media briefing event dubbed “Staying ahead of the pack” where they displayed some of their top of the range devices, these being laptops and notebooks. Hp is a global leader in computing and many other solutions, and they had a chance to showcase some of this technology. Having curved a niche as a mass market company and global supplier in technology, HP had 5 computers on display today. These are the HP Folio 13 Notebook PC, HP Pavilion DV6, HP Pavilion DV7, HP Pavilion G6 and HP Pavilion G7.
HP Folio 13 Notebook PC
This is a 13.3 inch notebook packing a second generation Intel Core i5 mobile processor. The screen is a LED Backlit HD2 Brightview and it has a 128GB solid state drive, 1.3ghz DDR3 SDRAM Memory, Mobile Intel HM65 Express Chipset, RJ-45 (Ethernet), (1) USB 3.0, (1) USB 2.0 and (1) HDMI; headphone/microphone combo jack; power connector a 6 cell Li-Ion Battery which gives upto 9.5 hours. It weighs a mere 1.5KG. Hp Folio 13 also has a backlit island style keyboard with UV coating.
HP Pavilion DV6
This is an entertainment machine that has been in the market for quite some time. Its spots a high definition screen whose value is much felt by the entertainment driven user. The Turion X2 CPU and ATI graphics card allow the laptop to give high quality entertainment. HP DV6 works perfectly when paired with the Beats by Dr Dre Studio High Def Headphones.
Hp Pavilion DV7
This is an upgrade to Pavilion DV6 which came in with a new design. This one comes with a built-in TV tuner, remote and the chrome speakers providing quality sound. Some other juice this machine has is Blu-ray drive, 3 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI port, VGA port, ethernet, modem jacks, an ExpressCard/54 slot and a 5 in 1 memory card reader.
HP Pavilion G6
This is a 15.6 inch beauty with LED backlit display on 1366 x 768 resolution. It also features a full-size keyboard and Altec Lansing speakers, this is an all-purpose laptop.
HP Pavilion G7
This one is the laptop for those who like screen real estate, with its 17.6 inch widescreen. It wighs 6.1 pounds and is said not to pick up fingerprints despite its glossy surface. It has a textured surface of raised dots and does not use a click pad, it responds to the user clicks as usual when a user click on the bottom edges of the trackpad.
