AMD FX-9590 CPU Delivers 5GHz Over 8 cores


The AMD FX-9590 is an 8-core processor that is reputed to have a clock rate of 5 GHz. For easy overclocking and performance gain optimizations, the FX-9590 is unlocked and features AMD Turbo Core 3.0 support. Another new member of the FX line is the FX-9370 at a clock speed of 4.7GHz, both these chips are based on AMD’s Piledriver architecture. Other processors in the FX family have a base clock speed that is 0.1 to 0.6 GHz lower than the two new chips. AMD has stated that the FX-9000 series will initially be available in PCs through system integrators.
