Barely a week after the saddening discontinuation of Google Reader, Google is still on the spree. And the next victim is Google Latitude. Google has made the announcement that Google Latitude will meet it’s end on the 9th of August. This will also include Latitude in Google Maps for Android, Laitude for iPhone, Latitude API, public badge, iGoogle Gadget and Latitude website.
Google, on the Google support website says that devs who have used Latitude to access location data in their apps, history data on Google servers will have to go back to the drawing board. Google suggests that users use Google Plus Android App for location sharing, iOS will get this feature soon.
