From partnering with governments in the developing world like Kenya to equip University Students acquire subsidized laptops for education to partnering with Universities to develop future-proof curriculum, Intel has been keen on education.
Today the chip company turned chip and devices has introduced two education focused tablets, a 10 inch and a 7 inch one. These two are not yet priced, neither have they indicated when they go into the market, but they have listed the hardware and software specifics.
Both tablets are Atom based and run the low power Atom Z2420 chip for the 7 inch and Atom Z2460 for the 10 inch. They have specifications as below:

Intel aims for this tablet to be used for mobile learning environment and the tablets will go into market running Intel Educatiion Software that will have education specific applications like an eReader, Lab Camera, Classroom Management, My notes and others that will help both the student and teacher make learning easier.
