New Indiegogo funding campaign seeks to help @evleaks

He’s been around for a while. Covering tech on various sites (Engadget, Pocketnow…) before transforming into the person you know, the leaker of all things mobile. Two days ago he announced on his Twitter account that he’ll be retiring. Then he did not give a reason but a few hours later an interview he granted The Next Web via email was published and now we know that one of the reasons he was hanging his boots was his long battle with multiple sclerosis. The man in question if you had no idea as of now is Evan Blass, popularly known as Evleaks.

A new funding campaign has gone up on Indiegogo that seeks to raise money to aid in Mr Blass’ medical expenses.

TK O’Connor, the man who Mr Blass thinks is good enough to fit in his shoes someday or even sooner is said to be behind the campaign. Whatever the case, it is worth noting that there’s a sense of love for a man who made some people have sleepless nights by revealing quite early what they had worked on for months or years only for the element of surprise to be unceremoniously taken away by the leakstar.

You can check out the campaign here and maybe help too.
