We’ve already told you about family app Keepy and the handy Fleksy keyboard as some of the applications that will be pre-installed on the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. Normally, such apps cost several dollars on the Play Store but Samsung takes a step further to avail them and several subscription services free entirely or for some set period to all buyers of its high end Galaxy devices particularly in the Note and S series under what we now know as Galaxy Gifts.
Besides Keepy, Fleksy, several Microsoft apps and Samsung’s own in-house efforts like S Voice and many others, 20+ applications will also be available to Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge users at no extra cost and will come pre-installed on those devices. They range from Instagram users’ darling VSCO to the very handy password manager, Lastpass to taxi service Uber’s.

In addition to the above, Samsung has also partnered with Intel Security to provide its McAffee mobile security software on the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. The application will be pre-installed. We’re not really convinced that you need an antivirus or something along those lines on your Android device but we hope the app and the others like Cheetah Mobile’s CleanMaster will not be system applications and that users will have an option to uninstall them at will without having to go through the complexities of rooting. Else, bloatware right there.
