Rogers OketchYesterday, we told you of a 29-year-old British man, who has taken to Indiegogo to raise funds aimed at saving Greece from default. The campaign has so far raised half a million Euros and still growing. While we understand the myriad of problems facing Greece and its financial system, the plight of a Kenyan Youth Rogers Oketch also came to light.

Rogers is seeking to raise $7,500 on Indiegogo with plans to use the money for his college tuition. Rogers has been accepted at Tomsk Polytechnic University to study Applied Mechanical Engineering from September 1, 2015.  In his post on Indiegogo, Rogers says he has longed to study engineering and become an engineer since he was aged nine years old but financial situation is threatening to take this opportunity away from him. Rogers seeks to raise the money before August 1st 2015.

The campaign has so far raised $320 in one day and we hope this post will help it gain traction. Anyone can donate to Rogers campaign on the site and the beauty of it is, you do not have to create an account on the site to donate. The process will involve simply entering your payment information and your set. The only information needed is your email address to allow Indiegogo to send a confirmation message of your donation.  To confirm the authenticity of the campaign as well as the details of his admission, Rogers has shared contacts of the polytechnic on his campaign page.

Lets rally behind the lad and send him to school. To learn more of the campaign and donate, see more here
