The Huawei Y5 2019 is set to launch in Kenya very soon. Huawei has decided to drop the Prime name that features on last year’s Huawei Y5 Prime 2018. However, it has decided to pick on Amber brown leather back similar to Huawei Y6 Prime 2019 plus their signature waterdrop notch.
The Huawei Y5 2019 will spot a 5.71″ dewdrop display with a resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels and an 84.6% screen-to-body ratio protected by a 2.5D curved glass screen.
Under the hood, you’ll get a Quad-Core 2.0GHz ARM Cortex-A53 MediaTek Helio A22 (MT6761) processor and PowerVR GE8300GPU that power up the phone. This combines with 2GB RAM and 16 or 32 GB of onboard storage. The Huawei Y5 2019 will run on Android 9.0 Pie on top of EMUI 9.0.
Optics-wise, the Huawei Y5 2019 packs a 13MP rear camera with f/1.8 that Huawei promised will take even better photos in lowlight scenarios. The selfie camera will be housed in the notch and feature a 5MP lens.
The Huawei Y5 2019 also packs a 3020mAh battery. The Huawei Y5 2019 also rocks Face unlock and a rear fingerprint sensor in the rear for biometrics. Other features include Dual 4G and Dual VoLTE for faster connectivity.
The Huawei Y5 2019 will come in various colors including Midnight Black, Sapphire Blue, Modern Black and Amber Brown.
