Wananchi Group’s Zuku has today introduced a free email service for its customers which seems like a move to add value to their service.
They call the new email service ZukuEmail and it has some interesting features attached to it.
They claim that ZukuEmail is secure and will keep you and your family free from spam mail. As a Zuku subscriber, you can create upto 5 custom email addresses for free which can be cool for a family.
The emailing service also comes with free 1GB of cloud storage which they say you can use for your documents, video and photos.
They will also use the emailing service to push their Zuku offers and discounts via the emailing service as well as send your Zuku bills.
Interested Zuku customers can register for their free Zuku email by heading over to this link and follow the prompts.
We can count this feature as a type of value add-on for the Zuku Fiber customers who are actually the majority in Kenya. The vertical integration aspect of owning an emailing service to push bills and offers is also incredibly beneficial to Zuku.
Wananchi Group who own Zuku still control the majority of the Fiber market in Kenya They have a 38.2% market share as per the last Communications Authority of Kenya’s statistics. Their main competitor, Safaricom Fiber is second and not too far off and they have been adding their own value add services like Home insurance and recently added Parental Controls that will be useful to parents.
