Samsung is debating whether to kill either the S line or the Note line of its smartphones. According to tweets posted by Evan Blass who goes by @evleaks on Twitter. Samsung is discussing if it should get rid of either and merge them into one lineup.
A trusted source, at least to Evan said that the South Korean tech giant wants to eliminate teh distinction between its top devices in the S and Note series and according to the tweets, this could come to effect as soon as next year with possibly a new brand of series reportedly called Galaxy One and launch with the S11 that will ship with best of both worlds and include the S Pen.
This makes sense as both the Note and S lines come with similarly packed specifications. The only big distinction between these two devices is the S Pen which comes with mostly gimmicky features and users can find more value for their money getting the relatively cheaper devices Samsung Galaxy S10 series rather than getting the more expensive Samsung Note 10 series.
Evan adds that if the recently reintroduced Samsung Galaxy Fold performs according to expectations, both functionally and in the market – the foldable could potentially replace the Note Line. According to Evan, this decision was described as still being very fluid and tentative at this stage.
Merging the two series could be a huge win for consumers.
