We knew the Infinix Zero 8 was coming following a short hiatus from the company’s top of the line devices. Infinix last Zero phone was the 6, and for reasons unknown to us, the 7 was skipped.

Infinix Zero 8 Unboxing and First Impressions Review: A Step in the Right Direction

For me details about the rumoured specifications, you can find out more here.

Now, we have an official confirmation that the Zero 8 will see the light of day, and that the device will actually make its way to Kenya in less than a month.

The official word from Infinix Kenya does not reveal any specifics; however, as it has been the case with previous Zero phones, Infinix will try to demonstrate its ability in building a top-of-the-line device akin to what its sister company Tecno does with the Phantom line.

So, what do we know: well, the device will have to selfie snapper built into the screen similar to the likes of the Galaxy S10 Plus and vivo V19. One of the sensors is a 48 MP lens.

At the rear, we expect multiple cameras, probably four of them, with the main shooter being a 64 MP sensor.

Other details such as screen size have not been confirmed, but there is rumour flying around that the display will refresh at 90 Hz, which theoretically makes the experience feel smoother and faster.

In terms of RAM, we expect lots of it, probably starting at 8 GB. Internal storage should also start at 128 GB.

Others such as the silicon running the show and extra features have not been released. However, Zeroes have always adopted one of the high-end chips from MTK, so there is a good chance we will see the same thing here.

The Zero 8 will be announced on September 7.

  1. This is brilliant from Infinix and I think it contains a Mediatek gaming processor as well at low cost.

  2. Can’t wait to get my hands on one.
I currently use the Zero 6 Pro, so I hope zero 8 will have a pro option
