realme 7 Pro

realme 7 Prorealme has officially unveiled realme 7 series that now succeed the realme 6 series.

The smartphone company has recently ventured into Kenya with a couple of entry-level and mid-range devices in a bid to have a piece of the local and highly-competitive smartphone market.

Now Read –  realme 6 Review: Solid Purchase

realme 7

realme 7 comes with a 6.5″ FHD+ IPS LCD display that features 90Hz refresh rate with 120Hz touch sampling rate. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and also has a punch hole selfie camera.

Running the device is Helio G95 chip with Mali G76 GPU coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage – which you can also expand with an external microSD card. The processor is an upgrade from the G90T that came with the realme 6.

It’s worth noting that the realme 7 is the first smartphone to use the Helio G95.

The phone will come with Android 10 and realme UI.

realme 7 comes with a 5000mAh battery with support for 30W Dart Charge and 15W USB Power Delivery. A 30W charger is included in the box.

realme promises that the 5000mAH battery will be charged up to 100% in 65 minutes.

realme 6 comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

For optics, we get a quad camera setup that includes a 64MP Sony IMX682, 1/1.73″ sensor, f/1.8 main, 8MP, ultra-wide-angle, f/2.3, 119° FoV, 2MP, monochrome depth sensor, f/2.4 and 2MP, macro, f/2.4. Hopefully, that SONY sensor increases the camera performance of the realme 7.

Video is recorded at 4K 30fps and 1080p at either 30 or 60fps.

Selfes are taken by a 16MP front facing camera in the ouch hole cutout.

realme 7 will come in either Misty White or Misty Blue colour options.

realme 7 will start selling from Ksh 22,000 for the 6GB RAM/64GB variant and Ksh 25,000 for the 8GB RAM/128GB variant.

realme 7 Pro

realme 7 Pro will feature a 6.4″ FHD+ Super AMOLED screen with 60Hz refresh rate and a 180Hz touch sampling rate.

It will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor and Adreno 618 GPU coupled with 6/8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of onboard memory respectively with support for expansion using an external microSD card.

The processor is the same one found on the realme 6 Pro.

Android 10 and realme UI come already baked in.

realme 7 Pro features a relatively smaller battery at 4500mAh but with support for 65W SuperDart Charge and 18W USB Power Delivery. A 65W charger is included in the box.

The 65W SuperDart Charge makes the realme 7 Pro the cheapest smartphone to have a high speed charging capability.

realme says that you will be to fully charge your battery from empty to 50% in 12 minutes and to 100% in 34 minutes.

You also get an in-display fingerprint sensor.

For optics, we get a 64MP Sony IMX682, 1/1.73″ sensor, f/1.8 primary camera, 8MP, ultra-wide-angle, f/2.3, 119° FoV, 2MP, monochrome depth sensor, f/2.4 and 2MP, macro camera, f/2.4realme 7 Pro

For video, you have the option to record 4K video at 30fps, 1080p at either 30fps or 60fps. You can also record at 1080p at 120fs or 720p at 240fps.

Selfies are taken care of by the 32MP front-facing camera.

realme 7 Pro will come in either Mirror Silver or Mirror Blue colour options.

realme 7 Pro will start selling from Ksh 29,500 for the 6GB RAM/128GB variant and Ksh 32,500 for the 8GB RAM/256GB variant.
