Floating Comment Section Feature Is Coming to YouTube

YouTube doesn’t shy away from experimenting with new features on its platform, especially its app. The latest feature is a new floating comment section.

This is a new UI tweak YouTube is testing on its app that changes how you view comments when watching a video on full screen.

Users on the app will now see that the comment section will be float when watching a video on landscape mode.

@YouTube just went fullscreen on Android and the comments came up as scrollable on the right. Is this a glitch? How do I access it again, it's super helpful!

The comment section is pushed to the right side and presented in a minimized box to not interfere with your viewing experience.

YouTube even confirmed this test and I can’t wait to experience this feature on my end.

Thanks for letting us know, when in fullscreen mode you can tap the bubble to see a live scrolling feed of all the comments. Note that we're still rolling out this feature so you may not see it on all videos. Hope that helps.
