Infinix is gearing up to launch its budget, midrange and flagship devices for the remaining part of 2021. This is also the time the smartphone company launches its flagship device in the Zero series as we saw last year with the unveiling of the Infinix Zero 8.

The tech company which has been making huge strides in the Kenyan market with its wide variety of really great devices with modern features and upgraded specs to suit price-conscious consumers is now expecting to launch its flagship with the Zero X name.

Infinix Zero X is slated to feature a new design and much better specs.

According to images shared by XDA, the Infinix Zero X will have a speckled back, an Infinix branding at the bottom and a camera island at the top left to host three cameras – a 108MP triple setup that will have OIS. The other cameras include an ultrawide lens and periscope telephoto camera which will reportedly offer 60X digital zoom

The Infinix Zero 8 had a 64MP quad-camera setup and a diamond/prism design alongside the colour gradient back. The back will have Gorilla Glass protection.

.

At the front, the Infinix Zero features a single punch-hole selfie camera which like its predecessor could be a 48MP front-facing camera.

The 6.7″ screen gets upgraded to now have a 120Hz refresh rate with 1080p resolution. Infinix will use an AMOLED panel like the Phantom X for its screen.

There will be an in-display fingerprint reader too.

It’s worth noting that the Zero 8 had a 1080p LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate.

Infinix has confirmed that the Zero X will be powered by Helio G96 chipset which will be a huge upgrade over the Helio G90T from the Zero 8.

RAM and storage configuration will probably stay the same at 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage.

Infinix Zero X will ship with Android 11 and XOS 7.6.

Other features to expect include a 5000mAh battery with superfast Type-C charging. Its predecessor supported 33W quick charging and the Infinix Zero X will support 40W fast charging on the Zero X – especially since the company has been teasing ultra-fast charging tech.

We’ll be seeing more information shared from the company in the coming days about its upcoming Flagship so be sure to check up for new updates.
