WhatsApp will soon be getting an update that will make the popular messaging platform lose unlimited Google Drive storage.
The Meta-owned platform currently supports cloud backup for both iOS and Android. On iOS, iCloud offers limited storage while you get unlimited storage on Google Drive for Android WhatsApp backup.
This is about to change.
Before we get into that, you should know that WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will let you manage the size of your cloud backup size on Android which means that you can opt to not include certain files(photos, videos, audio, documents) from getting backed up and filling up your 15GB free quota on your Google Drive account.
