Infinix is gearing up to launch the Note 12 series, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone lineup in the country later today.

The series succeeds the Infinix Note 11 series from late last year. Infinix 12 series will come in three models: the regular Note 12, the Note 12 VIP and the Note 12(G96). The latter two are performance variants.

All of them will ship with 6.7″ FHD+ AMOLED screens. The VIP version will have a 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate screen.

Infinix went all-in with the VIP version as the screen is a 10-bit panel with 100% DCI-P3 coverage.

The regular Infinix Note 12 will run on Helio G88 while the VIP and Note 12(G96) will run on and you guessed right – the Helio G96 chipset.

There are tiny tweaks Infinix added as the processor on the VIP version has 9 layers of graphene cooling and a vapour chamber while the G96 version lacks the vapour chamber and has 10 layers of graphene cooling.

For optics, the regular Note 12 and the G96 version ship with a 50MP triple camera setup that includes a 2MP depth sensor and an additional VGA camera.

The VIP version has the 108MP triple setup accompanied by a 13MP ultrawide and a 2MP depth camera and Laser Detection Auto Focus.

All of them will ship with a 16MP selfie camera.

All versions run on Android 12 and XOS 10.6 and will have 8GB of RAM and 5GB of virtual RAM. Included is UFS 2.2 storage.

The Infinix Note 12 VIP comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage while the Note 12(G96) will ship with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and the Note 12i will have of 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The regular Note 12 and the G96 version come with a 5000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. The VIP version will have a 4500mAh battery and support for 120W HyperCharge.

Infinix says that you can charge from empty to complete in 17 minutes – in the real world, it takes 20 minutes. The company added 103 protection features to ensure safe charging. These features are on the charging brick and the phone with 18 temperature sensors.

To help achieve fast-charging capabilities, Infinix incorporated a dual-charge pump and dual-cell battery. This enables the NOTE 12 VIP to adjust the voltage and amperage to the optimal ratio, as well as doubles the available input.

By combining all of these beneficial features, the Infinix Note 12 VIP’s charge cycle counts up to 800 with up to 85% battery capacity retained. Additionally, the Infinix Note 12 VIP’s 120W HyperCharge is certified by the TüV Rheinland Safe Fast-Charge System certification, which proves its reliability and longevity when charging daily.

The phones will be thin featuring aerospace-grade ultra-thin glass fibre material with the texture of glass and the strength of carbon fibre. The regular Note 12 and the G96 version sitting at 7.8mm thick while the VIP version sits at 7.89mm thick and weighs 199 grams.

Other features include a linear motor for the Note 12(G96) and a dual X-axis linear motor for better haptics for the VIP version. All of them sport dual speakers with DTS Audio.

The Infinix Note 12 VIP comes in Cayenne Grey(as seen above) and Force Black. The Infinix Note 12(G96) will come in Saphire Black, Force Black and Snowfall.
