The TECNO Camon 20 Premier is the company’s top-of-the-line midrange smartphone in the camera-centric Camon series which launched early this year.
We’ve already gone through its key features in our full reviews but we now put it against other titans in the high-end midrange category from Xiaomi and Samsung – the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ and the Galaxy A34.
The three are equally great midrange smartphones with nice features and in our comparison review, we check out which one comes out on top.
Before we begin, here’s what the three pack:
TECNO camon 20 Premier comes with a 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen, IP53 rating, lychee-pattern at the back, 8GB onboard RAM and 8GB Virtual RAM and 256GB storage. It is powered by Dimensity 8050 chipset, HiOS 13 and Android 13.
For cameras, it has a 50MP RGBW Pro main lens with sensor-shift OIS, 108MP ultrawide and 2MP macro sensor plus a 32Mp selfie camera. It also has a 5000mAh battery with 45W fast charging.

Redmi Note 12 Pro+ has a 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen with a glass back and an IP53 rating. It comes powered by Dimensity 1080 processor, 8GB of RAM with an additional 5GB of virtual RAM and 256GB onboard storage. It also has MIUI 14.
For cameras, it has a 16MP front-facing camera, and a 200MP primary lens with OIS backed by an 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus has a 5000mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging.

Samsung Galaxy A34 on the other hand ships with a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED screen and a glass back with IP67 rating.
It runs on Android 13 and OneUI 5.1 with Dimsnity 1080 chipset, 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
For cameras, it packs a 48MP main with OIS, 8MP ultrawide and a 5MP macro plus a 13MP selfie camera.
For power, it has a 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging.
