Kenya’s ICT Authority, nested under Ministry of Information and Communication has made a call for this year’s innovation awards.
The Connected Africa Summit 2024 Innovation Awards will be held on the days between 21st and 25th April 2024 in Nairobi during Connected Africa 2024. This is the first time it is being held as Connected Africa Summit after 15 years of Connected Kenya, as the forum spreads wings across borders.
The summit theme is Shaping the Future of a Connected Africa: Unlocking Growth beyond Connectivity, with a focus on Africa’s ICT priorities under Africa Union Agenda 2063.
African leaders will use the summit determine Africa’s role in green technology and governance of Generative AI for Africa.
Connected Summit Innovation Awards recognize innovative Information Communication Technologies targeting societal problem solving.
The submission call targets Innovators across Africa, with technology-led solutions in Health, Trade& E-commerce, Smart Cities & Mobilities, Education, Agriculture, Climate Change, Green Technology and Creative industry sectors. And there is a strong emphasis on AI as primary focus.
