Samsung has today announced the launch of the Galaxy S24 FE, a new addition to the S24 lineup that launched early this year, in Kenya. The device is also the latest to be part of the Galaxy AI ecosystem, designed to give users a more automated experience through artificial intelligence.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is powered by an Exynos 2400e chipset, the company’s in-house premium processor, which enables the phone to have some cutting-edge features like ray tracing. The display is a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen, the biggest panel used in the FE series so far. Users can also enjoy up to 120Hz refresh rate and vision booster, a feature that optimizes colour and contrast to play games even in sunlight.
On the back chassis lies a triple camera module consisting of a 50MP main camera, an 8MP telephoto lens and 12MP ultrawide cameras. The camera system enables video capture of up to 8K resolution at 30fps (frames per second).
The system also has various features designed to make photography and videography a worthy user experience. This includes ProVisual Engine, an AI-driven camera engine that leverages algorithms to deliver capabilities like Night Mode, 3x wide optical zoom and Super High Dynamic Range (HDR).
The phone also comes with a 4700mAh battery pack which is an upgrade from the Galaxy S23 FE‘s 4500mAh battery. According to Samsung, charging is at 25W, which gets you from 0% to 50% in about 30 minutes. Wireless charging is also an option at 15W.
The S24 FE is set to retail in Samsung stores across the country at KES 91,000. Samsung Electronics East Africa in partnership with authorized dealers will be having a limited-time launch offer where customers can buy the new Galaxy S24 FE and the Galaxy Buds3 at KES 101,000. The limited-time offer is valid until 31st October 2024.
