Digital banking and payments app LOOP seems to have quietly launched a new look to its interface, with users now expected to enjoy a generally new design to the app’s already existing services.
Although there has been no official announcement from LOOP via its official platforms, the app has been sending upbeat notifications about the refreshed UI to users across the country, particularly those on Android.
The new design is something users can be excited about, with the main page looking to move away from the dominant orange color and now integrating a purple gradient, especially on the balance card. The new buttons and sections imply the company’s move to make the app simpler and generally easier to navigate even for new users.
The fundamental buttons have been preserved, with the main page still having the quick actions as they were but with a different design, while the Discover and Grow buttons remain in their original positions at the bottom of the screen.
The individual services have received the biggest upgrades, with highlighted number buttons now used to key in recipient numbers, making transactions more seamless.
The Discover and Grow sections also look different and simpler, featuring smoother icons, buttons, and cards. Additionally, the top card now incorporates a scroll carousel design, mirroring the main page for a more cohesive experience. These changes indicate an effort to modernize the platform while maintaining its ease of use.
The sections that haven’t received any significant changes are the account profile side menu and the notifications page, as they remain identical to the previous version.
From first impressions, the app does look simpler and more engaging while still retaining its key components so that registered users can easily adapt. The rollout also seems to have been softer compared to the previous relaunch, as the app continues to move further away from its original link with NCBA Bank, which was phased out back in 2023.
To get the new design, users need to update the app via the Google Play Store or the App Store and sign in to explore the refreshed interface.
