Zoho Corporation has announced Ulaa Enterprise, a browser that targets the enterprise sector.
Like many browsers, it’s built on Chromium, making the interface familiar. The browser supports all major operating systems and platforms, including Android and iOS. It’s a corporate version of the Ulaa browser launched in 2023.
Ulaa Enterprise is a browser focused on privacy and security, features that are desirable to corporations. Its goal is to thwart browser-level threats for companies and provide security and usability in a simple package that needs no other third-party tools.
“The browser is now the primary workspace and also the most exposed attack surface in organisations. Yet, many solutions fail to combine robust security with simple usability,” said Andrew Veerakumar Natarajan, Country Head, Zoho Kenya.
Ulaa Enterprise has centralised policy management. Administrators can easily control user access, downloads, extensions, and overall behaviour, ensuring consistent policies and compliance throughout the organisation.
The browser integrates data loss prevention (DLP) features. It stops unauthorised sharing of sensitive data through uploads, screen captures, downloads, and copy-paste functions, preventing breaches before they happen.
Corporation IT admins have access to all users’ browser activity in real-time and can access audit logs. This feature is key in identifying risks and can help them define informed company security policies.
Zia, Zoho’s AI-powered assistant, is built into Ulaa Enterprise for browser safety and productivity. Its ZeroPhish feature identifies and blocks phishing attempts by analysing URLs and webpage behaviour before a user can even interact with a threat.
The AI also categorises websites, blocking unsafe or inappropriate content for secure browsing. It enhances productivity by organising tabs based on user behaviour, helping employees focus effectively.
“Ulaa Enterprise is our response to this challenge—empowering African businesses with a secure, easy-to-deploy, and policy-driven browser experience that protects both data and productivity,” Andrew adds.
