Each character in the game has specific battle mechanics and the ability to parry and dodge blows from enemies mean it is possible to finish battles without having sustained any damage. The story is full of heart and beautifully performed by the cast, making Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 a true gaming highlight of 2025.
Donkey Kong Bananza
Donkey Kong is a classic Nintendo character, and they could not afford to get this game wrong such is the affection players have for the gorilla. Thankfully, Nintendo have delivered, and, for many gamers, Donkey Kong Banaza is already the best game of 2025, full stop. There are so many destructive elements in this game that it provides a new freedom, and the levels feel more open ended. There are many wonderful collectables within the game and it’s possible to switch between various powers that add a new level of strategy. Even having completed the campaign, there is still so much to explore and destroy that Donkey Kong Banaza will be a game players enjoy well into the second half of 2025.
