TECNO is expanding its presence in the Kenyan market with the launch of its new Spark 40 Pro series, headlined by the Pro+ model, now available for pre-order through Jumia Kenya.
From July 14 to July 20, the TECNO Spark 40 Pro series is now available for pre-order on the online platform, with new buyers being promised discount deals and free power banks as part of the deal.
Courtesy of the online retailer, the Spark 40 Pro+ will come with a KES 1,300 discount and a free wireless power bank for those who pre-order.
The device has been listed on Jumia at a starting price of KES 20,899 for the 128GB model and KES 23,699 for the 256GB model. Alongside these variants is the regular Spark 40 retailing at KES 12,499.
However, the Spark 40 Pro has still not been included in the pre-order deal despite being part of the new lineup. This comes a week after the Spark 40 Pro lineup was listed for pre-order on TECNO’s official stores.
TECNO Spark 40 Pro+
The TECNO Spark 40 Pro Plus has a simple, familiar design with a triple-camera bump on its matte, shiny plastic back and a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with slim bezels. It features rounded corners that are also stretched over to the bezels, giving the display that complete curved look.
Under the chassis lies a Mediatek Helio G200 processor paired up with 8GB of RAM. At the back, you get a three-camera deck with a 50MP main camera, and for selfies, you have a 13MP front-facing camera.
The phone is also surprisingly light and thin, standing at 6.49mm and 150g, making it that more portable for everyday carry without having to worry about it bulging too much in your pocket.
One of the phone’s standout features is its 5,200mAh battery that comes with 45W wired charging support and 30W wireless support. The wireless support is complemented heavily by a wireless charging pad that you can get from TECNO as you purchase the phone.
However, the only way you will be able to activate this feature is via the attached phone case that is magnetic, which can be unfortunate, but still a welcome capability for a phone of its price.
