TECNO has officially unveiled its latest SPARK 40 Series, with the goal of raising the bar in the entry-to-mid-tier smartphone market.
The lineup includes four models: SPARK 40 Pro+, SPARK 40 Pro, SPARK 40, and SPARK 40C, bringing slimmer designs, better performance, and smarter features to the budget-friendly segment.
Leading the charge is the SPARK 40 Pro+, which stands out as the slimmest curved wireless charging phone yet, measuring just 6.49 mm. The SPARK 40 Pro is slightly thicker at 6.69 mm but still maintains a lightweight and stylish build.
Both devices combine slim design with practical durability for everyday use. They feature IP64 water and dust resistance, Gorilla Glass 7i protection, and can handle drops of up to 1.5 meters.
Powering the SPARK 40 Pro+ is MediaTek’s new Helio G200 processor, a 6nm 4G chip with an AnTuTu score around 470,000. Meanwhile, the SPARK 40 Pro uses the Helio G100 Ultimate for a solid performance balance.
TECNO has backed these specs with a 5200mAh battery across the range and 45W fast charging support. The Pro+ model even throws in 30W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging, a rare find in this category.
The SPARK 40 Pro+ and Pro come equipped with 6.78-inch AMOLED displays, pushing 1.5K resolution at a 144Hz refresh rate.
TECNO claims a peak brightness of 4500 nits, which should help with visibility outdoors. The devices are also TÜV-certified for low blue light, which helps in reducing eye strain.
For audio, users get dual stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos support on the top models.
Smart Features, Built-In AI, and Offline Sharing
The SPARK 40 Series runs on HiOS 15 and comes preloaded with AI-powered tools like document-to-text conversion, real-time call summaries, and photo cleanup. The phones also integrates ChatGPT, DeepSeek, and Gemini to power its AI digital assistant, Ella.
For offline sharing in areas with poor signal, TECNO’s FreeLink™ tech allows for voice and file transfers via Bluetooth over distances up to 2 kilometers (effective range of 200 meters). There’s also support for NFC, GPS 2.0, IR remote control, and the new Super WiFi 2.0 for improved connectivity.
Photography remains modest but functional. The SPARK 40 Pro+ features a 50MP main sensor with electronic image stabilization and RAW domain image processing for clearer, more natural photos. Other models also pack decent camera setups for casual photography.
With features like wireless charging, a high-refresh AMOLED display, and useful AI tools, the SPARK 40 Series makes a strong case for value to budget-conscious users who still want a premium-like experience without blowing away their entire paycheck.
