If you thought the hype surrounding Pace headphones was about to die down, think again. The Kenya-based startup was treated to a wonderful surprise when the country’s president, Uhuru Kenyatta made a stop at their booth during the France-Africa Business Forum that was held at the iHub.
What started out as a routine, quickly changed tune when the president had a try of the headphones that pride themselves of being designed in Kenya. Apparently, President Uhuru could not contain his excitement, as he was all smiles after trying out the a pair of Pace Focus headphones. We have reviewed the Pace Focus headphones and also reviewed the company’s second product, Pace Mate and we totally understand why they would wow the president.

The President was so impressed by the headphones that he ordered 7 pairs of Pace Focus headphones and 7 pairs of Pace Mate earphones, which he gifted to his staff – talk about an endorsement of the year. “We were happy that the quality of our product spoke for itself and that the president also recognized that,” said Emily, Pace Africa Brand Manager.
The hype surrounding Pace headphones took off when Kenyan celebrities started rocking them left, right and center; from Willis Raburu to Caroline Mutoko and even the pronounced Miguna Miguna (not a celebrity but you get the point). The company’s strategy has been working well for them as is it now frequent to meet people in town either rocking a set of Pace Focus or Pace Mate.
I have so far enjoyed what Pace has to offer with their past products and I can’t wait to see what the company has in store for us next.
