Mozilla has announced via the mozilla blog, availability of firefox with crash protection capabilities. Windows and linux users will be protected from third party plugin crashes when watching online videos. Users will just require to refresh a page if the plugin crashes and continue enjoying uninterrupted online activity.
They also report that the user will be automatically alrerted when they are using outdated plugins. They will then be able to confirm if their plugins are upto date by visiting the Plugin check page.
Currently Firefox offers crash protection for Adobe Flash, Apple Quicktime and Microsoft Silverlight on Windows and Linux computers. Support for other plugins and operating systems will become available in a future Firefox release.
