Techcom “Dual Sim” Mobile phones announces its entry into Kenya

Kenya is ripe for Investments. Techcom, an IT Peripherals and Consumer Electronics brands, has announced the entry into the fast growing mobile handset market in Kenya. With the new innovative range of handsets, it marks yet another business milestone for Techcom as it brings forth a world-class range of hand held products within the reach of its African consumers. The brand is entering Kenya with its presence in major cities like Nairobi, Mombasa, Nakuru, Eldoret and Kisumu.

We have earmarked US$ 1 million over the next three years for brand building purpose. Through over 20 Sub-distributors and almost 500 retailers in Kenya, Techcom will sell phones in the range of KSH 2400 to KSH 4900 currently. With a pan-Kenya presence of our offices and distributors, we hope to penetrate the Kenyan mobile market extensively in the next six months.”

The company has a bouquet of seven entry and mid level handsets – comprising of feature rich & competitively priced dual SIM GSM handsets. The handsets have been modeled keeping in mind the youth in urban and semi-urban cities, which are stylish, on the move, confident, vivacious and above all value for money. Techcom unveiled its seven models namely, T21, T31, T33,T35, T51, T55, and T60 respectively in Kenya. The new mobile handsets are dual SIM (GSM+GSM) entry and mid-level handsets with excellent quality and features that make them stand out in competition to any other mobile phone in the similar bracket.
Adding at the event, Mr. Rafiq Miyanji, Managing Director of Computer Planet Ltd., Kenya, said, “Techcom handsets largely complement the requirements of the Kenyan market.   1. This is great! The phones are affordable! If Techcom perfects the entry to the Kenyan market and uses the right business model then it will be a success stories!

  2. Well, lets see what the phones have to offer after they launch. What i’d want to know is how different they are from the existing dual sim phones.
