Nokia announces Nokia X1-01 and Nokia C2-00 with Dual SIM

The dual sim feature seems to get noticed. Nokia has now announced two new phones, Nokia X1-01 and Nokia C2-00, at the same time, both dual sim phones.

These phones offer a Dual SIM experience superior to any other models on the market, remembering the settings for up to five different SIM cards – and with no compromise on battery life, music features or messaging. ” says Ian

Both phones are dual standby, meaning you can recieve calls on both sim cards simultaneously. The phones are said to remember settings of upto 5 sim cards. How many Mobile service providers do we have again?

The Nokia X1-01 is a music phone by make, has a huge speaker as you see in the image below. Ian says that the Nokia X1-01 has in fact got the loudest and clearest speaker Nokia has ever produced! The phone is said to also support external storage of upto 16gb via sd card. This phone runs on Nokia X1-01 runs the Series 30 operating system.

Nokia C2-00

This one is abit advanced that the X1-01 in that one sim card is stored inside while the other one is accessible while the phone is closed, just like the N8. Where you have the sim slot on the side, enabling you to just pop out the sim card inorder to enable you change sim cards. The C2-00 supports external storage of upto 32 gb and sports series 40 OS. Also has a VGA camera.

The two phones will ship soon in India, China, South-East Asia/Pacific region, Middle East and Africa, Eurasia and Brazil. Before local taxes or subsidies, the X1-01 will cost €34 or Kshs 4200 in current rates while the C2-00 will cost €45 or Kshs 5500.
