Huawei Kenya gets a new CEO

Mr Wind Li, Huawei Kenya CEO

Mr Wind Li, Huawei Kenya CEOHerman He has been Huawei Kenya CEO for a term of around five years. He has since been replaced by Mr Wind Li who moves from being the Director of Sales for the Nairobi office. Mr Li is the former MD for Huawei Zambia and previously served as account manager for Huawei Madagascar. This would be seen as a move in line with Huawei’s plans to move form a mainly B2B vendor to include the B2C model where they recently partnered with Mobicom as their districution partner. Mobicom is well placed to deliver an efficient distribution channel as it is the biggest distributor in Kenya. So we are going to see Huwei engage a more hands-on approach when it comes to distributing and marketing of their devices as opposed to previously where they engaged Safaricom as their exclusive partner. The Huawei G3512 is one of those devices we will see Huawei pushing to the masses.
