Samsung Galaxy Y Duos is in the range of entry level devices by Samsung. Has low price point, its actually selling at Kes. 16,000 in the Kenyan retail stores. The demand for a reliable dual sim android device is clear among the population, and seeing that Samsung is a trusted brand, launching Galaxy Y duos and Galaxy Y Pro duos is a good thing. I have my own small stats to base this. On Techweez, the single most searched item is the Galaxy Y Pro Duos B5512, followed by Galaxy Y Duos, closely third is Ice Cream Sandwich for Samsung Galaxy Note. That thing is yearned for. Well atleast the first two are here with us, the last one should show up in the next few weeks.
And yes, seeing that the Samsung dual sim androids were a needed thing I decided to run a poll sometime in January. 60% of entries said they would want a dual sim android device, with another 18% saying they would buy it if it had a favourable pricing. Yet another 8.7% said they would consider it if a phone with similar specs had the same price. Well the writing was on the wall for any manufacturer. With users wishing to get the best out of everything, fast data connectivity, voice offers from different mobile carriers. It was only sensible to have the dual sim android devices in the market. And they are here with us.
I decided to take a few shots of the Galaxy Y Duos, a day after I got it, just to show you what it has to offer, before I take it on a test run.
First its important to refresh you on the phone specs:
