Hot on the heels of Samsung, LG has announced that their 5 inch phablet will be available globally starting September, that will be slightly before the second Galaxy Note from Samsung will be available, that is, unless they announce it on the 29th of this month and ship it the next week, which is highly unlikely. LG has bet on the fact that the atmosphere will be all phablet, but Samsung wont have made the hottest phablet available in the market. Hence try to get the Optimus Vu in as many hands as possible while the cat’s away. The Optimus Vu will be selling with these specs out of the box:
Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 3G, 5 inch XGA(768 x 1024) with a 4:3 aspect ratio. Storage will be 32GB, 8.0Mp rear camera and 1.3Mp front. The dimensions will be 139 x 90.4 x 8.5mm and weight is 168grams. The global version of this phablet will run a Quad-Core processor and NVIDIA Tegra 3 mobile processor. Quickmemo and Notebook are apps developed by LG that will be available in the LG Optimus Vu which has sold half a million devices since March when it became available.
