Egypt youtubeThis Saturday, 9th February saw the suspension order by an Egyptian court over broadcast of a film that is considered insulting to Prophet Mohammad. Youtube will then proceed to be blocked by Communications Ministry in Egypt over broadcasting the film “innocence of Muslims”, a 13 minute video trailer that provoked unrest last year in Egypt and several Muslim countries.

The video was made in the US and portrays Prophet Muhammad “as a fool and sexual deviant”, something which most Muslims consider blasphemous. The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority in Egypt allegedly said it would act on the ruling as soon as they had a copy of the ruling with the instructions.
