Huawei has announced the Ascend P2, world’s fastest smartphone at MWC. At 150 Mbps, the Ascend P2 is the fastest device on LTE. The Ascend P2 is a 4.7 inch 720p device with IPS display covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 2. It’s 8.4 mm thin and dons a 1.5 GHz Quad Core processor, 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage non-expandable. It will support NFC among the usual connectivity options like Bluetooth, WI-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and microUSB 2.0.
It will run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean under Huawei’s Emotion UI 1.5 and will be powered by a 2420 mAh battery while Huawei’s QPC (Quick Power Control) and ADRX (Automated Discontinous Reception) features will reduce power consumption by 25%. It will have a 13 MP rear camera with HDR, 1.3 MP AF front camera and video recording at 1080p.
Ascend P2 will be available in two colours, Black and White starting with France in June on Orange at EUR 399.
