Lg’s Optimus G has made in-roads to India’a huge smartphone market with a launch in the peninsula country. Optimus G was the first in the G Series that is LG’s flagship series and Optimus G was flagship device of 2012. LG has since unveiled the Optimus G Pro for 2013 to battle it out for LG in the high end. LG Optimus G is a 4.7 inch device with True HD IPS capacitive display with 768 x 1280 pixels, effectively 318 ppi Pixels display covered with Corning’s Gorilla Glass.
The processor is a 1.5GHz Krait Qualcomm MDM9615 and Adreno 320 GPU. It runs on microSIM, 32GB non-expandable storage, 2GB RAM, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. The camera is 13MP rear with autofocus, LED flash and image stabilization while the front camera is a 1.3 mp. Video recording at 1080p @30fps and LED video light.
It comes with Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, microUSB, USB Host and options of 3G and LTE. It supports flash and HTML5. The device dimensions are 131 x 68.9 x 8.6 mm and weighs 145 grams. Battery is a 2100 non-removable Li-ion. LG Optimus G will be available in India at a price of Rs 34,500 or $637.
