I thought all the attention would be swallowed by June 20th, the day Samsung is holding its London event to showcase new Galaxy and ATIV devices. That was until I read an update on Huawei’s Facebook page teasing the Ascend P6 in a clear render.
Maybe the announcement is a calculated move to distract us and divert our attention from the June 20th but the Ascend P6 deserves all the attention, at least for now since it is still a little mysterious. There are no details about the Ascend P6 but it is being touted by its maker as the thinnest. It is expected to be unveiled in London on June 18th. The post on the Huawei Facebook page read:
#Ascend P6 Story# We do everything to the fullest. The Huawei Ascend P6 challenges all phones to be the thinnest, smallest, and one of the most compact smart phones with a screen that can rival its competitors. Care to guess how large the screen to body ratio is? Well on June 18th, Huawei will unleash an intimate experience to consumers.

The Ascend P6 has leaked several times before thanks to tipster @evleaks and what Huawei did was simply confirm that it exists and it is coming.
Early rumours (there’s never a shortage of those) point to a 6.2mm thin device with a 4.7-inch HD display, a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, a 5 megapixel camera and running Jelly Bean. That’s mere speculation. We can rest assured that this is not the long rumoured Huawei EDGE.
What specs and features (besides Emotion UI 2.0) will the Ascend P6 have?
