Samsung Galaxy Memo

Going by previous trends, the design of the Galaxy Note III to be launched within this quarter won’t be much different in design from the flagship device the Galaxy S 4. Also by going with trends, at-least with the Galaxy S 4 we are also open to expectations of various iterations of the Galaxy Note III. Samsung released four iterations of the Galaxy S 4, the main one, Galaxy S 4 mini, Galaxy S 4 Active and Galaxy S 4 Zoom.

So when a rumour comes flying that there is a Galaxy Memo to be expected, you keep your pinch of salt at arm’s length, but you don’t consume the rumour with it, just keep it close for eventualities. Sammobile, one of Samsung’s independent news, rumours and reviews portal has it that they got a rumour leading to a certain Galaxy Memo on the pipeline.

What’s interesting is that it has a Stylus, going by the images they have. Me and you know that the devices that come carrying the S pen are all in the Galaxy Note series, these being the Galaxy Note, Note II, Note 8 and Note 10.1. Now here’s where it get’s interesting.

There were reports that Samsung may choose to release two iterations of the Galaxy Note III, one running an LCD screen and the other with the usual AMOLED screen, this is said to be as a result of AMOLED production components deficiency. Now if that’s true, then the LCD version could be given another name and priced differently to the lower side. Heck even the specs are lower that what’s expected of the Galaxy Note III. See below:

  • 4.5 inch Full HD TFT LCD
  • 1.4 Quad Core Processor
  • 2GB RAM
  • 8MP Camera
  • Android 4.2.2 with TouchWIZ Nature UI

What do you think, is this close to something that might materialize?
