Many have been wowed by the outstanding design of the HTC One, one of the most talked about Android smartphones of 2013. It is not lost on anyone that with such a winning design language a lot could still come from the Taiwanese device maker currently fighting so many internal wrangles and getting all the wrong marks in financial books thanks to weak sales. While everyone else has been on the phablet bandwagon, HTc is still fumbling with its often rumoured 6 inch HTC One Max. Before we get to that, it seems there could be a successor to the [ancient] HTC Flyer after all.
New leaked images suggest that a new tablet from HTC following in the design of the One may be in the works and could see a late release before the year wraps up. With tablets primed to continue pushing PC sales to the corner and Android OEMs taking cues from Apple on how to introduce killer tablets, this could be an industry defining moment that could raise the number of high quality Android tablets in the market and also salvage HTC from the weak sales of its devices it is currently facing.
