It’s about time you forgot about the Galaxy S8 and its “infinity display”. HTC is serious about innovation and as much as it is hard to believe, rumours of an upcoming HTC flagship, seem to point in that direction.
HTC has had a rough start to the year, with the launch of the HTC U Ultra and the HTC U Play which might not be doing so well, seeing that they are currently heavily discounted. Then the company said that the HTC U Ultra would be the company’s flagship and we should not expect a HTC 11, a statement that was contradicted by HTC’s executive when he said that the company would have another flagship later in the year.
It seems like HTC knows that they will be drowning if they just ignore the fact that the HTC U Ultra isn’t as good a flagship device as what the competitors have and for this reason, they will be announcing the HTC U 11 very soon.
According to Venture Beat, HTC U 11 will feature a 5.5 inch WQHD (2560*1440) display, a Snapdragon 835 platform (not a typo), a 12MP rear camera coupled with a 16MP selfie shooter, either 64GB or 128GB options of internal storage with microSD card support and frame-embedded sensors that will allow users to do various customizable actions using gestures such as squeezing or swiping along the frame.

Venture Beat has also disclosed that the HTC U 11 will be the successor to last year’s HTC 10, thus the number 11. It has also been revealed that the U 11 will come in five colors: white, black, blue, red, and silver and will be launched on May 16, 2017.
