As per documentation seen from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office website by guys from Phandroid.com shows that LG filed for a trademark for LG G Health, a wearable device that is explicitly quoted to have smartwatch functionality though geared for health.
The name? LG G Health. No one has an idea about how such a watch will look like but rumour has it that it will feature a flexible display and should be out sometime in 2014. To differentiate it from the rest of the smartwatches that are currently rolling out from various companies and which will soon flood the market, LG wants to go the health and fitness way.
How exactly?
We have no idea. Just hoping that it will be something refreshing and a big departure from what we have seen from Sports brands like Nike and Adidas or what we already have with the Galaxy Gear, Sony Smartwatch 2 and the Pebble smartwatch.
