Huawei Ascend P7 is this sleek looking device launched by Huawei in Paris on the 7th of May. This is the quite promising flagship device of 2014 that improves on the beauty of last year’s Ascend P6 and adds brains to the mix.
Paris was the launch location, a strong message that the Chinese company is coming strongly for the European market. This was affirmed by a strong partnership with Orange in France where all the Orange shops in Europe will stock the Ascend P7 come 7th June.
“Orange is pleased to witness how Huawei’s products and brand have developed since we first identified Huawei as a global contender several years ago. Today’s launch of the best-in-class Ascend P7 is an illustration of a strategy and investment that is now paying dividends,” said Yves Maître, Executive Vice President, Connected Object and Partnerships, Orange. “As a long-term partner, Orange is delighted to provide its customers with the results of this successful relationship.”
Here in Kenya, Safaricom is going all out with the Ascend P7 and I expect them to bundle it with data offers. Janet Atika, Safaricom Head of Retail noted that the device is quite impressive and expects the sales to be quite huge.
“We are working to get the device into Safaricom shops as early as possible and we could have them in early June, and at a very competitive pricing, said Janet
This is around the same time it hits 30 countries globally and as Safaricom is quite a huge partner of Huawei which supplies it with network infrastructure among other services, we are bound to see it early enough.
