Nairobi, Kenya: Airtel Kenya subscribers can now purchase Internet and voice bundles from Airtel Money. Previously one had to purchase airtime then use the USSD menu to select the specific bundles and purchase off the airtime in the phone. The service which is available for prepay customers spans bundles within Internet, SMS, Tosha, Data and prepaid international packs.
The new development means that the process becomes easier with everything done from within the specific menus, example, *767# for tosha and *544# for data. Selecting of the payment option will be early in the bundle purchase menu where one selects from an option of airtime or Airtel Money.
While announcing the new service, Airtel Kenya CEO Adil El Youssefi said that Airtel is delighted to unveil this new service that offers Airtel Money users a simple process to purchase bundles through Airtel Money in simple and very easy steps. He explained that the new innovative service offers more freedom and convenience for customers using Airtel Money wherever they are on the Airtel network in Kenya.
