In December, Instagram Introduced new editing tools as part of Instagram 6.0 update after nearly two years. With the update Instagram introduce five new filters as well as editing tools that allowed one to sharpen, tilt and straighten your photos as well as adjust brightness, contrast, saturation, warmth, highlights and shadows. The new filters included Slumber, Crema, Ludwig, Aden and Perpetua.

The update is currently available on Android as Instagram 6.19 while the iOS version 6.10 will be available soon on Apple Appstore. Instagram also added the ability to subscribe to get notifications whenever your friends and favourite users post anything. To enable this, visit a user’s profile, select options at the top right corner and tap on ‘Turn on Post Notifications’.
