The Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are already selling in Kenya. They were officially launched in this market on 16th April and before then pre-orders were already open and over 500 units were sold that way. Airtel, Kenya’s second largest telecommunication company by subscriber base is joining competitor Safaricom in offering the same devices as well at around the same prices.
The rates are as follows:
- Samsung Galaxy S6 (regular) 32 GB – Ksh 74,999
- Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge 32 GB – Ksh 82,999
- Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge 64 GB – Ksh 94,999
For the 32 GB Galaxy S6, buyers will get 3 GB data per month for 3 months. Buyers of the Galaxy S6 Edge (both 32 and 64 GB versions) will get 4 GB data recurring for 4 months.
Note that Airtel won’t be selling the 64 GB Galaxy S6 (regular).
