The Samsung Galaxy Young lineup has been around for quite some time and while you may not have noticed since it’s taken a back seat of sorts in the wake of new offerings like the Galaxy STAR and the Galaxy J1, it still exists. In fact, the latest iteration of the device, the Galaxy Young 2 is from about a year ago.
A new user agent profile has appeared on the interwebs revealing what look like details of the Galaxy Young 2’s upcoming successor, the Galaxy Young 3.
As per the user agent profile, the model number is SM-G150NL. That alone gives it away since its predecessor, the Young 2, has a model number that is closer to that: SM-G130. A rumoured 3.8 inch display will likely pack 480 x 800 pixels or 246 ppi. The Galaxy Young series is not known for high-flying specifications and features and since it is meant to be the first phone of quite a number of users, we don’t expect that either. It is worth noting that should the above-mentioned specifications be the actual case, that would represent an upgrade over the Young 2’s 165 ppi (320 x 480 pixels) 3.5 inch display.
We don’t have an ETA for when we’ll get to see the Galaxy Young 3 but when the rumour mill starts buzzing for a phone that is never on anyone’s radar anyway, know that “soon” is the right word to use. Plus Samsung has a history of doing refreshes in the run up to a device’s first anniversary or immediately after.
