Google Photos Finally Gets Ability to Display Images in a Slideshow

What photo management app lacks something as basic as playing slideshows?

Google Photos

Google’s photo app, Photos, has been around for over a year now since its revamp last year that saw it become Google’s main image product as well as introduce unlimited free storage to users. One very visible feature it has been missing all along is the ability to let users view their photos in a slideshow. Yeah, such a basic and useful feature was actually missing. Not anymore.

Google Photos on both the web and Android now has the feature enabled by default. “Just open the album, click on a photo, and select Slideshow from the dropdown menu,” Google says.

While Google Photos is also available on iOS, there’s no word on when the same will be made available to iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users.
