StarTimes Media and UNAIDS are set to launch a partnership to develop and deliver television content in the war against the HIV/AIDS scourge. The content will be broadcasted across African households including Kenya through StarTimes.  UNAIDS has been working with the Organization of African First Ladies against HIV/AIDS in the development of content but there are still gaps for the development of more broadcast information.

The decision by the two organizations to partner was made during the China-Africa Business Council held in Beijing with the goal of driving access to information on the HIV/AIDS pandemic. The Joint United Nations Programme on HIV and AIDS (UNAIDS) is the main advocate for an expanded response to HIV/AIDS  through coordinated global action. StarTimes on its part committed to play a significant role towards joining the anti-HIV/AIDS campaign in an effort to achieve the goal of eliminating the HIV pandemic by 2030.
